Battery invested in Mobius Institute in February 2024 to help build a global leader in condition monitoring and asset reliability, bringing together expertise in training, oil analysis and specialty products and services under one roof.

Two years and three acquisitions later, that strategy is taking shape. Reliability Won — the platform built around that initial investment — now includes Mobius Institute for vibration-analysis training and certification, Noria Corporation for lubrication consulting and education, and most recently, Fluid Life for oil-condition monitoring and diagnostics.

Headquartered in Edmonton with labs across the U.S. and Canada, Fluid Life brings decades of expertise helping asset-intensive organizations in mining, energy, manufacturing and transportation reduce downtime and improve equipment performance. The acquisition adds a critical operational layer to the platform, complementing Reliability Won’s existing knowledge and consulting offerings with analytical lab testing capabilities.

In this video, Group CEO Marcus Pillion shares what drew his team to Fluid Life, the role AI will play in accelerating oil sample turnaround times and his vision for where the platform goes next.
